JUNSU PROMOTE HIS FATHER'S PIZZERIA

JUNSU 'FLATTERS' HIS DAD'S PIZZERIA WHILE OVERSEAS

TVXQ came to Taiwan to push the sales of their concert tickets. Junsu's father, Kim Jin Suk owned a pizzeria in Korea. As a filial son, he did not forget to advertise on behalf of his father. "My dad makes very delicious pizza, everyone must patronize it!" he said.

CALLING FANS TO PATRONIZE

Junsu, who is twenty-year-old this year received training with SN Entertainment at the age of ten and debuted with TVXQ three years ago. Reminding the most difficult days, he said, "I experienced puberty during that three years time before debut, I can't sing properly . I have one thought about abandoning the dream, fortunately mom is very supportive of me."

His father opened a pizzeria named Ai Mei Ren Shi Qi Si in Gyeonggi Province.
Alot of local fans go there, making it very popular. He laughed and said, "Dad always make pizza for me, my favourite are sweet potato pizza and lasagna. Fans who love me should love it too. Must try it !!"
When asked whether he helped in the pizzeria, he bashfully said, "The pizza that I made cannot be eaten, customers will surely run away. So my duty is to eat !"

[TRANS]Pinky Magazine Interview

Basic Romance Data
Type of girls you like (appearance): There isn’t really anything in particular but someone who’s a bit tall
Type of girls you like (character): I like cheerful girls. I’m a bit shy…
Christmas Date Budget: Since Christmas is special I’d probably spend around 50000 yen [roughly $500] all together including presents?
Romance Policy: Definitely calling each other everyday! Also, being affectionate towards each other.

Interview
Changmin: I was really nervous today… I am the first member in Tohoshinki to have a solo photoshoot with a girl. That’s why all the members were showing their disapproval towards me yesterday. “I’m so envious!” “Why is it only you!?” They said such things. (Laugh)

Nozomi: Recently I was really looking forward to seeing Tohoshinki’s Live at the Tokyo Girl’s Collection but I was in the middle of make up and couldn’t see it. That’s why I’m so happy to be able to meet you today! But today’s photoshoot was so embarrassing I kept thinking “Ah, What to do?” Especially when we had to exchange glances and that ice cream scene!! When I was worried over my hand sweating you asked me “Is everything alright?” That made me think “Ah~ Korean men are so kind.” By the way, we are the same age aren’t we??

Changmin: Yes we are. But Nozomi-san you look a bit younger than me… It’s a bit sad, isn’t it? [he thinks he looks old]

Nozomi: Hahaha! Changmin-san what types of girls do you like?

Changmin: There isn’t really anything in particular but someone who is kind of tall would be good. Since I am tall, probably someone who is around 160cm or above?

Nozomi: How tall are you?

Changmin: I am 185-6cm.

Nozomi: So cool~~!

Changmin: It’s thanks to my parents.

Nozomi: (Laugh) Why do you want to go to an amusement park for a Christmas date?

Changmin: This is somewhat embarrassing… Umm… First of all on a Christmas date I would arrive at our meeting place 5 minutes earlier to wait for her. Then when she arrives I’ll give her a bunch of flowers.

Nozomi: Wow! Japanese males can’t quite do that very well. What next?

Changmin: We’ll go to the amusement park together. The amusement park has always been a place I wanted to go to if I had a girlfriend. Of all the rides the Ferris wheel would be good!! There aren’t as many Ferris wheels in Korea compared to Japan. The first time I came to Japan I saw the Ferris wheel in Yokohama while we were driving by and I thought “I want to ride that with my girlfriend.” And when we are on it I’ll tell her “I like/love you.” It’s embarrassing isn’t it? I’m a bit shy so this is a bit hard. Sorry.
A present for my girlfriend? Umm…I think a muffler would be good. It’s very cold in winter and I don’t want my precious girlfriend to get a cold so I want to keep her warm with a muffler.

Nozomi: Ah! Are you by any chance the type that always butters up to /fawn upon/flatters girls? [ie. Act cute/sweet]

Changmin: My character is sort of stiff. (Laugh) I can’t really but I want to, to my girlfriend so I’ll give it my all. But since I was small I’ve never really kissed up to anyone, even my parents so I can’t do it well. I can explain things through words but I’m weak at expressing myself through actions. That’s why in today’s photoshoot I became all stiff.

Nozomi: Me too. (Laugh) By the way, you requested for “preppy” styled clothing, why is that?

Changmin: I used the protagonist of the movie “Devil wears Prada” as my image and somehow just wrote that down. I think it really suits you and it looks cute. Since its winter, I’d be happiest if she was dressed warmly. If she seems cold, naturally I’d lend her my coat.

Nozomi: So wonderful ♥♥… I heard that couples in Korea really cherish anniversaries. Is this true?

Changmin: On the 100th day or like 200th day, couples would exchange gifts and or go on trips together. For those males who have a lot of courage, they would go to places with lots of people, for example if it was in Japan places such as Shibuya and Harajuku. They would take their girlfriend there and shout out in front of everyone “I would like to introduce my girlfriend to you all! I love my girlfriend very much!” They would endure the embarrassment to show their girlfriends, just how much she means to him. I haven’t done it before but I’d like to try.
This is something I was surprised to hear that doesn’t really happen in Japan, couple look. Couple look is very common in Korea. I also haven’t done it before but I’d like to try. There’s so much I want to try. (Laugh)

Nozomi: On Christmas what would you like your girlfriend to do for you? Please tell us.

Changmin: Just being with her is good enough. If I really like her then it doesn’t matter what she wears or what make up she has on she’d be sparkling in my eyes.

Episode
The staff became embarrassed watching the photoshoot of these two shy people who were embarrassed and didn’t want to approach each other. We ran out of time so they didn’t even get to ride on the most essential, Ferris wheel! Changmin’s poems that were overflowing with kindness were very impressive.

Update from the Department of Random, Pointless Polls

In a rather random poll conducted by JukeOn, BoA has topped the list of artists who are likely to take best pictures for their own album covers. More than two thousand Koreans participated in the poll, out of which BoA has received 882 votes, or 38% of the total votes.

In the comments section, many people attributed BoA's interest in photography as the rationale behind choosing BoA. The advertisement campaign for Olympus, which used to feature BoA, might also have helped BoA top the poll.

Coming in second place was Ppaekga of Koyote, followed by Na-Eol of Brown Eyes, Park Ji-Yoon and Seong Si-Kyeong. These artists are all known for their passion for photography, and Nae-Eol and Park Ji-Yoon, in particular, have further pursued their interests by hosting their own photo exhibitions.

Yes, this poll is random and pointless, and will not certainly make this world a better place or stop the genocide in Darfur. But hey, at least this is not as bad as the infamous "which artist will you save when Japan sinks underwater?" poll, which BoA also topped.

Note: Dynamic Duo is a South Korean hip-hop duo.

Dynamic Duo, "I thought Micky Yoochun was Micky Yoochung..."

user posted image

Hip hop group Dynamic Duo went on 'Doogeun Doogeun Live Chatting' on the 13th. Here, they revealed about the time when DBSK member Yoochun asked them for an autograph. The picture of Yoochun getting an autograph gained a lot of attention on the internet.

"The picture should be reversed. It's an unfortunate situation." said Geko and laughed.

At the time, Dynamic Duo didn't really know DBSK that well. "An observant looking young man came and asked for an autograph. I asked him for his name, and it was four letters. I thought it was weird" said Choija. According to Geko, he wrote 'Micky Yoochung'.

Geko said "Micky Yoochun said so kindly, 'It's not chung it's chun'. So I fixed it."

Choija who says "we actually don't have much interest in idol groups" said about DBSK "They have talent and they try very hard. It's good to see."

What Dynamic Duo thinks of Dong Bang Shin Ki

Gaeko thinks back to the day of the concert. "For that day's concert, the reaction from the audience was great up till a point that the fans started to cause a commotion. This got us puzzled. We were thinking "That's weird. Our popularity isn't that high." Later only did we find out that the screen behind of us -which was playing a clip of Dong Bang Shin Ki- had some problem with it, that caused the fans' commotion."

Choiza, who was never interested in any boyband before, gave this opinion regarding Dong Bang Shin Ki. "They are a bunch of guys who have great potential, and very hardworking. They sure are not bad."

Changmin's Magic Book

"If there's something magical that has happened in my surroundings?" Sounds like it's a very broad question (laugh). I really want to think about this all of a sudden, but I couldn't think of anything. From when I was younger till now, once in a while I would think about what would happen if something like this were to occur.
Let's start from the conclusion. It's a magic book. Just like a regular book, the size would be convenient to carry around. The pages inside would be blank. When watching others showing magic tricks, in the book that contains nothing, if I
drew a pigeon [on the blank page], then a pigeon will fly out [from the book]. But the magic book that I want is not one where pigeons can fly out. When you hold the book in your hand, you can then know what one's mind is thinking.
If there's a book that you want to read, you just have to think about it, open the magic book, and the contents you had envisioned would appear. Ummm... If the things that I want can appear once they're drawn in the book, that'd be great (laugh). When I suddenly have a book I want to read or something that I want to understand but I can't get right away, then I'll forget [about these things] at this time. Or it'd be quite a while before I remember [them] again. Perhaps when someone beside me said something, then I would go "aigoo" when it suddenly jogged my memory about something. At these times, if there's such a magic book, the book I want to read can appear and the things I want to understand will be known. This kind of feeling is very good.
Ah! It's also just as happy as a movie. The images of happy memories are all stored in the book. The best would be to open the [magic] book occasionally and can see these things. When we perform, we cannot take pictures of ourselves. We can [only] take pictures of the fans. When things get tough, if we see the fans' encouragement, then we will get our energy back (laugh). After saying all this,
it seems that it's like an all-purpose notebook. Would there really be nothing like this type of computer or electronic device in the future? You don't need to type or do a search, all you need is a screen to see all the things that you wish for. I really want to have this kind of incredible magic book (laugh).

Fahrenheit worries about Singapore fans, Sunday October 28, 2007 Singapore

Translated: highlyretarded

FAHRENHEIT WORRIES ABOUT FANS. DO NOT HOPE TO SEE THEM QUEUE OVERNIGHT AGAIN.
28th October 2007

Currently at the Mediacorp studios, fans who have queued overnight to get the special tickets to the hit awards, finally got the chance to see Fahrenheit, &have interaction with them.

The sponsors YES933, having limited the number of tickets to 50 was very reasonable, as the VIP room could only hold that much people. the place was very orderly, the fans were very cooperative, no pushing &even queued orderly to have their pictures taken with the beloved Fahrenheit.

The Ge Mi Hui[Fans session] is held after the hit awards, which started at around 12.30am. but the fans all look so energetic, &played games with Fahrenheit, having a great time with them. Amongst these fans, some are only 15, &some who are of other race, not knowing chinese, but still in love with Fahrenheit.

There is a Phillipino 16year old girl, she said that she had liked Fahrenheit for a year, &for the special tickets, she stayed at Mediacorp Studio for 4nights. but not knowing chinese, how did she like them? "I do not know why, but i would melt whenever i see them."

&there are 10fans, who do not need to queue, one of them said that they got it from the fan club. they wore Fahrenheit's special blue tee, &interacted with them.

the reporters asked Fahrenheit if they knew that some of the fans queued for 4nights just to get the tickets, they were clueless. But after knowing it, they showed care &concern, &persuaded the fans not to do it anymore.

Jiro says, "Actually i am really happy to see all of them as we do not come to Singapore frequently, but knowing that they didn't go home, this would make their parents worry, &we are all worried about their safety. so we hope that next time they would not repeat this again as we would be really worried.

But luckily, this time's activity gave Fahrenheit a good impression.
Calvin says," Actually everyone is quite orderly &follows instructions, making the event very smooth.

Singapore fans are so enthusiastic, so the fans in taiwan, do they do such things also?
Arron says," Before we organized a small concert, &such things happened too. A lot of people queued for a long time, making their parents worried.

Actually, fahrenheit last time organized an autograph session in Singapore. Due to the lack of time, many fans went home empty-handed. Ao in order to please their fans, next year Fahrenheit will be having a concert in Singapore. Their album would be out next year january.

FORMER boy band member Ken is deglamorized as a Taiwanese fisherman marooned on an island province. PHOTO COURTESY OF IGNITE MEDIA AND ROGER ROBLES

BASCO, Batanes, Philippines -“He’s very Filipino,” Iza Calzado describes co-star Ken Zhu of F4 fame. “He’s having so much fun here.”

The Taiwanese singer-actor was in the northernmost Philippine island-province for 10 days for the shoot of the romance drama “Batanes,” directed by Adolf Alix Jr. and Dave Hukom for Ignite Media. Ken is set to come back on the third week of November for the movie’s opening.

“He loves joking around and singing standards by Frank Sinatra. Pinoy na Pinoy,” Iza tells Inquirer Entertainment on the movie’s set on White Beach, Batanes, on Tuesday.

Co-star Glaiza de Castro agrees: “He’s cool. I only used to watch him on ‘Meteor Garden,’ but now I got to act with him. I never imagined he’s that approachable.”

Another co-actor, Coco Martin, relates that Ken “bonded” with the Filipino cast and crew. “At first he was shy. But soon enough, he started jamming, eating and chatting with us.”

Ken is no stranger to the country. It’s his fourth trip to the Philippines, but his first to Batanes—which is nearer to Taiwan than to Manila, he points out.

“My first trip abroad was to Manila. I was only 7 then,” Ken looks back. “I loved this dessert called halo-halo. Everywhere I looked there were guitars.”

The Filipinos’ innate warmth and musicality impressed him.

Associate director Armando A. Reyes recalls that Ken, Iza, Glaiza and Bembol Roco sang “Do Re Mi” from “The Sound of Music” on the set one slow day.

There was a light and jovial mood on this set.

Direk Arman and co-star Sid Lucero’s jokes broke the ice with Ken, Iza reminisces.

“Like me, Ken was also feeling his way through at first. He was tired when he got here because he came from Spain where he had topped a tai chi competition.”

Ken taught Iza a few tai chi moves because, Ken explains, the skill helps him in “communicating” with his fellow actors. “It also keeps me healthy and gets rid of stress. It calms me down after a highly emotional scene.”

Apart from singing and tai chi, the talented Ken is also a whiz in the kitchen. He wrote a cookbook entitled “Delicious Relationships” and conducts culinary workshops for his fans.

He tells Inquirer Entertainment that he intends to cook for the crew. “It’s a simple family recipe made of eggs and tomatoes.”

The actor/singer/tai chi champ/ cook is also a reflexologist.

“On the first day, after noticing that I sprained my left foot, he massaged it,” Adolf notes.

“Although he’s an Asian superstar, he’s down-to-earth,” Iza says.

“He went motorbiking on his own on his first day,” Adolf recounts.

“When I got here, I was pale. I wanted to get a tan,” Ken says.

Adolf relates: “The locals know him, but they didn’t mob or bother him. He experienced freedom here.”

Ken has fallen in love with Batanes and its people so much that he is planning to buy a piece of property here. “I love this place. It’s paradise. I’ve never seen an island as beautiful as this. Very promising.”

He is raring to come back and work in the Philippines again.

He says that, in spite of the hectic working schedule, the Filipinos “are the most heartwarming crew I’ve met. They’re like family to me now.”
